Embrace
Has it ever
popped into your mind that everything could change in a snap? In 3 hours, a
week, a month or years.
Your 3
month-old-baby no longer needs their lil pajamas that you pick carefully at the
store.
Your 4 year-old
son no longer asking random question, cause he’s off at the new preschool.
No sister to
help you choose which top looks best, cause she’s already left for work.
Your grandpa
no longer waits for you in the front of his yard, cause he has a new yard by
the river now.
Your mom no
longer prepares the best dish you can take to work, cause you live thousand
miles away.
No friend
available for Friday night coffee to talk about random shit, cause they choose
not to.
No one. No
longer.
They not
changing cause they want, cause they need to.
Without even
knowing, they start chasing priorities.
They choose
who to spend time with.
Days fill up
with quiet, unseen responsibilities.
No one.
Yet also, no one to blame.
It's just
like the afternoon meet the night
The morning
meet twilight
Forever is
not just the light.
Sometimes
it’s the end of the sight.
So, embrace.
Stare at
your baby when he slept.
Answer all
the son’s stupid questions not because you want, but you have to.
Appreciate
your siblings for they small gestures, cause her time hits different now.
Look deeply
into your grandpa’s eyes, while he still talks.
Compliment
your mom dish cause what they need else from her daughter.
Put your
phone down when your friends talking shit about their colleague at work.
I swear,
it’s a snap of finger.
A freakin snap
of finger.
It would be
change.
